REQUIREMENTS OF THE YOUTH BOARD

The Youth Board was the brain child of the organization’s Past President, Mr.. Willie H. Tutt. His vision was to have today’s youth develop into tomorrow’s leaders by giving them the opportunity to understand how a Board operates.

Youth Board elections are held every two years. Those seeking candidacy must submit an application and campaign for office.

Youth Board members act as liaisons to bring the idea, needs and wishes of their young constituents to the Board of Directors.

The Youth Board emulates the Board of Directors in structure relating to officers and members. Two adult advisors are part of all meeting oversee and guide the youth as they plan how to bring the ideas of the youth they represent to the Board of Directors.

Youth Board members are expected to follow and adhere to rules and regulations of the organization. They should meet all required youth guidelines as to personal conduct and academic standards.
